In a future where the sun is so strong you are advised to stay inside every time it is out.
Gathering some of her old pieces revolving around the sun, the ocean, and her close relationship with these elements, Wasted Rita created cure my SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) a new installation that worships and enhances the importance of both the sun and ocean for basic human function: a center for seasonal affective disorders set in a futuristic apocalyptic post-everything-went-wrong scenario. Wasted Rita is a Portuguese artist based in Lisbon, her work is mostly text-driven with hints of humor and incessantly looking for ways to survive in this often disgusting but sometimes fascinating cosmos, usually resulting in a hybrid overflow of contrasting emotions.
