In their newest book Against Ageism A Queer Manifesto, Simon(e) van Saarloos weaves a wealth of militant sex-liberationist, afrofuturist, transfeminist, and decolonial imaginaries into their anti-ageist sails. 

Today, neoliberal societies increasingly render the proletarian "elderly" not just sexless but killable. In the meantime, fascist forces and conspiracy cults increasingly urge to protect the figure of the fertile, innocent, white child while mounting assaults on transgender children's bodily autonomy. These and many more intra- and intergenerational preconceptions, race fantasies, class conflicts, and intimate taboos will be critically faced in the first Dutch booklaunch by Against Ageism. For this author Simon(e) van Saarloos engages in conversation with curator Staci Bu Shea, Artist Vita Buivid and the audience.

Tickets for regular admission are €5.00 and for students €2,50. The language of the event will be English. Doors will open at 7.30 pm and the event will start at 8.00 pm.
